Gelang Karo - Moon and Hill

Bangles have been used in many Indonesian cultures both as an aesthetic accessory for ceremonies and a symbol of status presented by its intricacy. Decorated with patterns taken from various sources of Indonesia, Gelang Karo offers a simple and versatile form of stacker complimented by its trapezium shape enabling multiple surfaces to be carved on. 
The moon and hill (bulan dan bukit) motif literally depict rows of moon and hill made into a pattern, representing one of many landscapes in Indonesia.
